Search for birthparents Steffans.

I was born as Helen T. Steffans, (according to a search consultant - my adopted mother heard Patricia Anne Stevens when she was in court) in Los Angeles, California, and I am looking for genealogical and medical information both out of curiousity and for health purposes (I can't help it even though I have a nice life and a great adopted family).

I was born at 8:01 am, September 6, 1956 at Holy Family Adoption Agency, Los Angeles, California and baptized at the Loreto Church.

Birth parents names are said to be K. Steffans, and/or maiden name Day.

My birth mother was in nursing school (21 years old) (born 1935?), and my birth father had graduated in engineering and was working as a draftsman (22 years old) (born 1934?). She is an only child. (According to my adopted mother, it was a school dedicated to nursing.)

I contacted the social worker at Holy Family and she said I could buy the non-ID but I have most of the information. The only other information is that my birthmother was born in California and there is no record of where my birthfather was born.
