I've switched the board back to this format in hopes of reducing the amount of spam to you folks who are actively using it. Please send feedback to webmaster@onwatersports.com. Please look through the archive or post into a category. You will notice posts back to 2002 as this was when I used this system before! Andree, March 26, 2004.
Buy a kayak from someone else so they can upgrade!
Please:
- Make sure the kayak has appropriate floatation.
- Practice capsizing and re-entering in a pool or other monitored area before going out on open water.
- Take an introductory lesson - it makes kayaking more fun!
Please do not spam the board.
Be aware of email fraud - eg: offers to
send large cashier checks for boats, unrealistic offers from hotmail,
yahoo, Africa.... Don't give out any personal information or be
led down the garden path! The pattern - starts asking for your address,
phone number, bank account number...send them to the FBI...
Here is an example of someone claiming to be from a
European country, the lastest scam:
ok ,i will instruct my client to issue you the cheque
immediately .
but less i forget,my client will send you the cheque base
on the amount
he is owing me and i will require your assistance here,
that is you will
help me to wire the balance to my shipping agent who will
take care of
the of the shipment. my client will send to you a cheque of
$3700 you are
to deduct your money from it {$xxx} and $xxx for the favour
and stress
involve in wiring him th e balance through western union
money transfer
so that he can come for the pick up ontime .
Please be aware of stolen products! My
own Pirouette S just came back to me - it was stolen from my truck
in my own town (Port Townsend) and then sold at a garage sale to
one person, who traded a drum for it to another...who showed the
new boat to a friend of mine, who......
