- Make sure the kayak has appropriate floatation.
- Practice capsizing and re-entering in a pool or other monitored area before going out on open water.
- Take an introductory lesson - it makes kayaking more fun!
Be aware of email fraud - eg: offers to
send large cashier checks for boats, unrealistic offers from hotmail,
yahoo, Africa.... Don't give out any personal information or be
led down the garden path! The pattern - starts asking for your address,
phone number, bank account number...send them to the FBI...

Used Nautiraid Grand Raid double folding kayak - 10+ years old. Includes fantastic Balogh Batwing sail and sail rig which is already mounted to kayak (see www.baloghsaildesigns.com/pro.html) and is worth $500+ by itself. Light blue coated canvas deck with black rubber hull. Inflatable seats and sponsons. Complete with spray skirts, packs, 2 Werner paddles, leashes, and other quality accessories.
